You just made one of the most important decisions in a child’s life and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Now what?

Writing to Your Child:

The best way to support and build a relationship with your child is to exchange letters with each other.

The fastest way to communicate with your child is by using the letter form below. When you send your letter, you will immediately receive confirmation that we have received it. We will then have it translated by one of our qualified staff and deliver your letter to your child.

It’s that easy!

Don’t forget to include your child’s name and ID number on the form so your child can get in!

Note: Many sponsored children live in a verbal culture and are not used to using written letters as conversation. They tend to see the letter as a sign of connection rather than a dialogue. Our staff will work with your child to acknowledge receipt of your letter as we try to teach them that letter writing is a form of conversation.

What to Tell the Child About Yourself

Please take into account the child’s surroundings and upbringing when deciding what to include in your letters. These children have very few belongings, so it’s better not to mention material possessions you have. Instead, share about yourself (if you’re a Christian ministry and gifts), your family members, your siblings, and things that hold significance for you. Your child will connect with you more if you speak to them with a child-like faith and simplicity. The bond formed with a child is one that will endure for a lifetime.
